If you haven't heard, Kaijudo will be going through a major format change starting in late May. There will be two formats: Standard and Open. Standard will allow only cards from the two latest blocks. In this case, once the first set of Gauntlet block releases, Quest for the Gauntlet, the two latest blocks will be Clash of the Duel Masters and Gauntlet block. For now, you can see which sets/products fall under these blocks by looking at the Set filter on the Database page, where the sets are under their respective block group. In the future, expect to see a neat little table of allowed Standard sets on the home page.
As for Open, well, you're allowed to use every single card in the game, unless they have been restricted (limited to 1 copy per deck) or retired (no copies allowed). Now, a couple of people have approached me wondering if there will be an easier way to look through only the cards allowed in Standard than choosing every set legal in Standard in the Set filter. Obviously, this isn't a very effective way of searching for only Standard cards, so I added an extra little filter called "Format."
It's very simple to use, just select whether you want to see Standard-only cards by clicking Standard and then Open is there as an option if you just want to see all the cards. You don't have to select the filter if you want it to search through all cards though, but we put Open in there simply because it would look awkward with just Standard in there.
